Sir Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity?
Just watch the video above. Then respond if you like, to my comments, to the video or both — whatever works for you.
While watching Sir Ken Robinson speak, I found myself agreeing with everything he was saying. So much so, that now he is a hero of mine. The [...]

by a young man who I know from my alma mater…
he is on the cusp of graduation from said school and his brilliance, his talent, his drive, but most of all his self-reflection floor me every time I see him. I do not see him often because we are each leading our own lives, but [...]

I just want to put it out there….I am happy for Jennifer Hudson and her performance tonight at the SuperBowl.
She never lost her voice literally speaking however I do believe that the three killings of her close family members muted her soul. So in a way, she lost her voice for a while. And although [...]
I am mad as hell at the music industry….

Sorry…I did not mean for my first post of the new year to be angry, but I am a huge lover of music and vocal talent and this ish really pisses me off.
Now, I was looking up artists and listening to the growth of their voices via YouTube. And I realized that Katharine McPhee can actually sing REALLY well. So will someone please tell me WHERE THE HELL her voice is now? If you compare the two videos below, the first being her American Idol audition and the second being one of her first videos as a recording artist — you will realize how disturbing it is that the music industry decided that it was appropriate to basically dumb the child’s voice down.

I sing to soothe my soul and to find the beauty in the music all around me.
I talk to engage with other people and to exchange different energies.
I dance to allow my body to find the beauty in the music all around.
I read to envelop myself in a world that is yet to exist.
I write [...]

For a while I was uber focused on getting President-Elect Barack Obama to be in the position that he is now…and although that hurdle has been overcome (YAAAAAYYYY!!!!!) I know that there is still a lot of work to be done. Which is where an occupation working in the Obama administration would fit right in [...]

Now, I just want to make it clear here….T.I. (Clifford Harris) is a gorgeous man. BUT he is also highly intelligent and extremely reflective. Due to those last two characteristics, he has found himself the focus of a post here on my blog.
