I know what fear feels like. Not that fear that is caused by a frightening movie, experience or another individual. No…I am referring to that fear that exists in the back of your mind, right in the corner of your soul…that if you are not paying attention, it can take over your sight, your mouth, [...]

I just finished watching Sex and the City (the feature film) and throughout the film, I thought about love and romantic relationships. I thought about the pain and the mending of  broken heart, dried up tears and empty arms. I wondered if love really is real….if it is truly tangible and sustainable.

“You have to find a mother inside yourself. We all do. Even if we already have a mother, we still have to find this part of ourselves inside….You don’t have to put your hand on Mary’s heart to get strength and consolation and rescue, and all the other things we need to get through life — you can place it right here on your own heart. Don’t you ever be afraid. I am enough. We are enough….”

I am sitting here, crying…just crying my eyes out. But they are not sad tears…they are happy tears, lol.
You see, music brings me to tears. Beautiful music touches your soul, inspires you, and reminds you that we are human beings and there is true beauty that can come from our souls.
We live in cruel and [...]

God only gives us what we are ready for…although sometimes we don’t understand because we cannot see through the pain. But if we just open our eyes to look for the lesson, we realize that we are not only capable to deal with the situation, we are more than prepared with God’s love holding us [...]

I am saved by God’s grace.
I am here right now because of God’s mercy and because of God’s grace. Mercy is when we are spared from receiving what we should receive and grace is when we are given what we do not deserve. And I am grateful that God has extended both of these to [...]

I was talking to a friend of mine last week and we happened to start talking about the challenges that sometimes face individual family members. And he said something very profound to me that has strengthened my faith in creating, growing, and strengthening bonds within one’s family. He said that “family is teamwork”. And as [...]
